Services Provided by a Financial Advisor

In Today’s video we discuss the lesser known services provided by a Financial Advisor.

Most people are aware that a financial advisor provides the two services of financial planning and investment portfolio management (investment advisory). However, included in the advisory relationship are a number of additional services important to the financial health of the individual and family. Generally, if it has a number associated with it, the financial advisor can be there to present options, evaluate priorities, and to offer valuable advice.

Some examples of these services are:

  • The creation of college savings plans
  • Retirement Planning
  • Advice related to estate planning
  • Advice related to tax planning
  • Retirement account rollovers
  • Change of employment
  • Starting a new business
  • Insurance protection
  • Cash flow planning
  • Special events such as weddings, funerals and elderly care

In order to receive the best and most unbiased advice possible, we recommend you engage a financial advisor who carries the CPA/PFS designation and who is also a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
